Summer is here….

I’m tired, lazy, and anticipating for summer.

Well, I don’t have to feel like that anymore because summer is here! I am so glad summer is here… No more school, no more grocery shopping, and NO MORE HOMEWORK!

I am sad that I am graduating from sixth grade, and from Elementary School! I will miss my “old school” but I am ready for a change.

I will miss all of my friends that are departing to different schools… And I will miss all of my friends during the summer…

I can’t believe the school year is already over! It’s amazing how fast things go…

Well, I am also excited to take some pictures…

Like these for example…

I have been trying to work on my photography skills and I think they are going pretty well…

Flowers in the forest.

A forest path in Redwoods State Park, California.

Now, I can’t just do that all summer…

I have to work out.

Thanks to http://health.msn.com I have pictures of some demonstration work out techniques that I am going to do…

I go to gymnastics too; but I also have to do some work around the house and the neighborhood…

Since I will be waking up around 6:00 again next year, I am going to do some practice rounds during the summer.

I am going to wake up at 6:00 and jog for about 20 minutes.

I just hope I don’t fail this assignment…

Here it comes…. The lovely, the fantastic, spring break!

As you all know, you get to the point where you just need a little break. Well don’t worry all of those who are worrying, spring is here… For my spring break, my family and I went to Florida to visit my family. We did a ton of things! One of my favorites was fishing. We caught a whole bunch of fish. Jed, my little brother, caught a huge fish.

Spring Break!

I caught a blow fish. It was pretty big. But not as big as Jed’s fish.

Spring Break!

Then, some unexpected visitors came for a visit… The Trillings… We had a delightful time with the family. We ate at a restaurant called Archies. After the fulfilling meal we went to go swimming in the heated pool…

Spring Break!

Spring Break!

Sadly, on our last day in Florida paradise, we went to the beach. We collected shells, played in the water and relaxed…

 Spring Break!

The drive home was long but fun. Now we are back at camp. Some rules have been enforced by the heads of the crew… Can you guess? Mom and Dad. We have been eating “Unhealthy.” So now we have to eat healthy. No more junk food in the Oyler household… We are now packing our own lunches and going to bed early. All of this is starting on Monday… I feel we have a long and busy journey ahead of us…

Chicago Style….

On Friday, my family and I went to Chicago for my meet at Navy Peer. I had a pretty good meet. Here are the scores I got...
Floor 9.125
Beam: 9.1
Bars: 8.3
Vault: 8.925.
I had a really tough time on bars because I missed my giant every time in the warm up. But fortunately I made it in the competition. I also had trouble on beam. I missed my back hand- back hand every time in the warm up but I got really mad and I guess because I got mad I made it in the competition...

We stayed at the Embassy Suite. It was a good hotel. I recommend it. After the meet we went to the ESPN Zone at midnight to eat. Then, after we ate a delicious meal. We went back to the hotel and went to sleep... The next morning we started packing our things and then went to the Planetarium.

 024

We rode in this sweet cart that took us up inside this dome and the guide showed us the stars and the names of them. We also went to this kind of theatre show. This guy talked and put pictures on the screen. It felt like we were moving with the screen!
Did you know that there is light pollution in the sky? If we turn off all of the lights in the city, the stars would look brighter. But because of all of the lights, we can't see the stars as clear as we want to. Just a little school there...

Before we went into the planetarium my mom wanted to take a picture of us three.
It was actually pretty warm outside! After we were done in the planetarium we went to the car and started our journey home...
We got a little hungry so we stopped at the greatest restaurant in the universe. Cracker Barrel! Sorry to get you hungry... But I had two pancakes and bacon with the old school Root Beer in the old time bottle.

We loved going to Chicago. It was a fun experience. We are definatly going there again...

A Valentine crafting inspiration....

This is a Valentine crafting inspiration. I just hope I can actually do it! I hope I can also be creative... I have never "Professionally Crafted" before so this will be the first time. I just hope I am REALLY CRAFTY.

If tomorrow is a snow day, I will DEFINITELY start crafting... Somebody will have to help me if I need it though. I will hopefully get to it tomorrow so I can get it done...
I was planning to get together with some friends to maybe have a craft swap.
I just need "crafty friends" so we will have things in common! But first I will need to plan first (of course!) The Date, Time, Friends, etc.

I need to find the materials at home if I can because if it is a snow day I can't go to the store because the roads will be bad... I hope I can cook too because this may be a little challenging.I will start planning tomorrow!

I probably need to start keeping track of the day and time by using whats called a CALENDAR. I have been using my Mom's little calendars so I wouldn't feel "Overwhelmed." Well I hope it goes well. I can use LOTS of tips...

A new baker in the house.....

My brother, Sam made a cake at his High School in his cooking class. I was pretty impressed. I never new that my 17 year old brother that never bakes, baked a cake that good!I love what he designed. Oh my goodness! It was delicious! I did hear though that Sam did have a little trouble with his icing. But he managed to figure it out... I hope I can top that when I bake cakes...

But,he did it! My mom, Dad, and I thought he had small motor skills but oh we were wrong... He is now making a Steelers cake. Hopefully, he will have it done by the time the Superbowl is on.

I hope he doesn't have any trouble with the icing! I bet it will look great...
